About Ron "Amen Ra" Lawrence

Ron Amen-Ra Lawrence is a music-producing legend who has left an indelible mark on the entertainment and recording industry. With over fifty million records sold worldwide, Ron’s star-studded career is the stuff of legends. He is best known for producing some of the most iconic singles of all time, including Notorious B.I.G’s “Hypnotize”, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “Been Around the World”, Jay Z’s “Where I’m From”, The Lox’s “Money, Power & Respect”, Faith Evans’ “Love Like This”, and LL Cool J’s “Phenomenon”. Ron’s impressive achievements include over 30 gold and platinum albums and a NARAS Governor’s Award from the Grammy Organization.

As an integral part of Bad Boy Entertainment’s success, Ron’s wide array of signature tracks has irresistibly produced music giants such as Mary J. Blige, Beyoncé, Brian McKnight, Luther Vandross, R Kelly, Boyz II Men, and more.

Ron’s music journey began in his college years when he formed the rap group Two Kings in a Cipher with his classmate Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie and released the titled album “From Pyramids to Projects.” Later, he joined the “HitMen” squad of Bad Boy Entertainment, where he and fellow Howard University alumni, Sean “Diddy” Combs, raised the bar for the Rap and R&B era of the ’90s. Ron’s talent and hard work resulted in him receiving the New Horizon Award as PRODUCER OF THE YEAR.

Aside from his impressive music career, Ron has also scored Spike Lee’s “Bamboozled” movie soundtrack and appeared in the film as a music engineer. He produced the theme song for the Pink Panther soundtrack titled “A Woman Like Me” for Beyoncé. Ron Amen-Ra has also scored TV commercials for Coca-Cola (Beyoncé), And -1 (Larry Johnson), and Mountain Dew, among others.

About Hakim Green

Hakim is a classic Hip-Hop artist, A&R consultant, Activist Educator, Public Speaker, and Entrepreneur.

As a former New Jersey educator and former frontman of the “true school” Classic Hip Hop Group, Channel Live, Hakim Green has been a force in the Entertainment Industry for nearly three decades serving in multiple roles including A&R Consultant, Community Organizer, Public Speaker, and Entrepreneur.

Discovered by KRS-One, his group, Channel Live, debuted in 1994 with their platinum single Hip Hop anthem Mad Izm, followed by the gold-status album “Station Identification.” Their single Mad Izm would go on to debut at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart and peaked at 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.

Green’s consulting work with singer Carl Thomas and producer Mike City brought forth smash hits such as “I Wish I Never Met Her” and “Make it Alright.” Green is also responsible for helping to shape the visual for Nas’ Hip Hop classic video “Got Yourself a Gun.” He also worked on other video projects to include LL Cool J’s “Love You Better” and Nelly feat. Kelly Roland, “Dilemma,”  and also served as associate producer for the 20th Anniversary release of “Scarface,” a movie documentary distributed by Universal Pictures in 2004.

A legend in his own right, Hakim Green continues to use Hip Hop culture to inspire and educate the black community through his 24HRSOFPEACE organization, which began in Newark, New Jersey.  24HRSOFPEACE started as a 24-hour concert/festival of peace, formed to support the anti-violence work of Ras Baraka, the current mayor of Newark, NJ. 

Now going on twelve years strong, 24HRSOFPEACE promotes HIP-HOP’s true principles of “PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, and SAFELY HAVING FUN.” A yearly tradition and staple in the Newark community, Green is looking to expand the 24HRSOFPEACE festival and its curriculum in 2022.
